The Sharks will look to build on their first win of the season when they take on Claremont in Geraldton as part of the country sport enrichment scheme this Saturday.
Geraldton has provided a rich source of talent for East Fremantle over the years producing AFL players such as Brad Dick, Tarkyn Lockyer, Patrick Ryder, Harry Taylor, Paul Haselby and Josh Kennedy.
Currently there are five regular league players, three reserves players, four colts players and six under-16-development squad players all sourced from Geraldton.
Captain Kasey Green (pictured) and vice captain Leith Teakle are both key members of the current Shark’s side who originated in Geraldton.

The East Fremantle colts have made a positive start to the season; sitting 4th on the ladder after Round 7 with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses. Both losses we had the lead and consistency over 4 quarters is what let us down.
The player group have really bonded well and it is starting to show in their performances. We have played a total of 32 players already this season and there is sure to be others to make their debut in the near future. This shows good evenness within the colts group of 2008.
Congratulations to the 6 colts squad members who have made the initial training squad of 38 for the State 18's carnival which is held over the next 10 - 12 weeks.

AFL fans have adjudged former East Fremantle player and now key back for Geelong, Harry Taylor, as having taking the Round 6 Toyota Mark of the Week, which in turn means that he is now in the running for the Toyota AFL Mark of the Year.
The mark, taken at Subiaco Oval, in the clash against Fremantle when the Geelong side escaped with a narrow 1 point victory, was a spectacular pack mark in the 2nd quarter. Taylor, who was opposed to Matthew Pavlich for a majority of the game, rated the crowd at Subiaco Oval as the loudest he had ever heard. “The noise that the Fremantle crowd generated was absolutely amazing. I have played at the Telstra Dome with the roof closed, and nothing has been as loud as the Subi crowd”.
