Canning Vale College triumphant

Congratulations to Canning Vale College who have triumphed in the East Fremantle metro division of the WAFC 8/9 Schoolboys competition. In a hotly contested final against the previously undefeated Applecross SHS, Canning Vale College were able to kick away in the 2nd half to record a comfortable 6 goal victory.
Best on the day for CVC were Kayle Phillips who was awarded with Best on Ground honours, along with strong effort up forward from Blake Woodward.
Coach Liam Quinn was happy with the boys efforts and teamwork on the day and throughout the competition and they now continue on to face East Fremantle Country winners Nagle Catholic College on July 27th at Jurien Bay.
This years competition saw 9 schools participate across the East Fremantle Metro region including: CVC, Applecross SHS, Melville SHS, All Saints College, Corpus Christi, Carey Baptist College, Cecil Andrews SHS, Leeming SHS and Willetton SHS. I would like to thank the AFL School Ambassadors and School team coaches, for their hard work and look forward to seeing everyone back for the 2013 competition.
