The West Australian Football League today announced 2012 Finals Fixtures as follows.

SEMI FINALS

(Saturday, September 8)

Claremont Oval

COLTS: 9am – 1^st Semi-Final – Claremont v Perth

RESERVES: 11.30am – 2^nd Semi-Final – Claremont v East Fremantle

LEAGUE: 2.15pm – 2^nd Semi-Final – Claremont v Swan Districts

East Fremantle Oval

COLTS: 9am – 2^nd Semi-Final – East Fremantle v South Fremantle

RESERVES: 11.30am – 1^st Semi-Final – Perth v East Perth

LEAGUE: 2.15pm – 1^st Semi-Final – East Fremantle v East Perth

PRELIMINARY FINALS

(Sunday, September 16)

West Australian Football League Operations Manager Cameron Knapton said the WAFL finals had been scheduled to maximize attendance and avoid clashing with AFL finals where possible, particularly matches featuring the Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles.

“We want to give WA football fans the opportunity to watch AFL finals and WAFL finals where possible,” he said.

“Reserves and Colts finals have been scheduled to follow the highest ranked League teams, while also avoiding any stand-alone games at separate venues.

“League finals will also start five minutes later at 2.15pm to allow for more pre-game coverage and build-up on ABC TV.

“In the event of a draw a ‘golden score’ will apply in Reserves and Colts finals, with the game clock continuing to run from the 25-minute mark of the final quarter until one team scores. A League draw will see an extra five minutes played each way.”

East Fremantle in the Foxtel Cup

On Tuesday May 21st the Sharks take on 2012 SANFL Premiers Norwood in round 1 of the Foxtel Cup. The match will be played in Adelaide so those left in Perth will be heading down to The Left Bank to watch the match. Join us there to support the Sharks. The match starts at 6:05pm.

EFFC members will get 2 for 1 meals by showing their membership card on the night and all can take advantage of the $10 Mussel special available every Tuesday.
