Sharks Academy Continues to Produce Talent

Thursday, April 28, 2016 - 3:16 PM

The East Fremantle Football Club is delighted to announce the ten players who have been asked to train with the WAFL State 16’s and 18’s Academy squads beginning Monday.  The Sharks talent pathway has long been heralded for producing quality young men and footballers and this year is no different.

With over 100 players drafted to the AFL since its inception (26 currently listed with AFL clubs in 2016) the Sharks  Academy programs, notwithstanding players’ individual talents, has been acknowledged around the country.  Whilst the AFL dream is at the forefront of all young players minds, the Club continues to be excited by the talent coming through in each of the Academy squads, as the Sharks strive to be number 1 in the WAFL for producing league players that have been developed from within its zone.

Everyone at the East Fremantle Football Club wishes all of these players the very best with their respective programs and hope that when the final teams are announced in the next month there continues to be that strong East Freo representation.
