East Fremantle has partnered with three local hospitality companies to help promote and build stronger relationships with community businesses.

The club’s bar facilities are now run by The Left Bank, Numero Uno is responsible for function catering and Nine Seeds Café runs the kiosk and coffee service.

All aspects of hospitality at the club, including the bar, functions, catering, kiosk and coffee carts, were previously run by catering company Delaware North.

It was November last year that the club made the decision to split the contract into three areas and replace each with specialised local businesses, to better reflect their role within the community and enhance the club’s game-day experience.

The Left Bank general manager Pedro Watts said the arrangement has certainly been mutually beneficial.

“Staffing the bar at East Fremantle Oval is a great opportunity for The Left Bank to strengthen the relationship with the football club and its members,” Watts said. “It is chance for us to showcase our service and market our brand.”

“The feedback from the customers has been great and they’re enjoying the new faces behind the bar,” he said.

The Sharks’ new hospitality structure has proved to be far more cost effective for the club, particularly in times of hardship.

East Fremantle chief executive Todd Shimmon said it has been a fantastic way to build strong relationships and promote community businesses.

“We are delighted with the response from members and supporters on the move to bring in local hospitality organisations,” Shimmon said.
