Round 22 Preview // Peel

Friday, August 18, 2017 - 2:01 PM

The Sharks will blood their 20th debutant for the season when Dillon O’Reilly takes to the field this Saturday against Peel Thunder.

O’Reilly, although only 17 years of age in June, has been in fantastic form throughout this season, kicking a goal in every colts game he has played. including recent hauls of 7 and 5 against Swans and South respectively, hence leading the WAFL Colts Goal Kicking Award

The 194cm mobile forward leads well at the foot and has worked hard on his one-on-one contests, improving his strength throughout the season to be a danger when close to goal.

O’Reilly, who hails from the East Fremantle Power Junior Football Club, was a State 16’s representative in 2016 will no doubt make his parents Stephen (former Geelong and Fremantle player) and Sharon very proud when he runs out Saturday afternoon.

East Fremantle welcome the return of powerful midfielder Cam Eardley from suspension. Into the 25 also comes Peter Delaney, Sean Henson and Zac McCarrey.

The injury cloud worsened for the Sharks during the week, with Jayden Schofield sustaining an injury at training. However, the boys will be pulling out all the stops for Andrew Stephen in his final outing at East Fremantle Oval.

This is the last home game from the Sharks this season, so make sure you don’t miss it!
