Round 5 Preview
After a soul-searching week at Shark Park following the disappointment of Sunday’s Derby, the boys are ready to turn it around when they take on Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval.
Each year the two league teams battle it out for the Joyce Allen/Kerry Coates Cup in recognition of Motor Neuron Disease (MND), with both clubs having lost patrons to the horrific disease. As a sign of solidarity, the players on both teams will wear blue armbands.
The coaching staff were quick to address last week’s loss and made the following changes to the side facing the Swans.
Into the 25 come youngsters, Matthew Burton, Ben Harding and James Harrold as well as potential debutants Zac Jackson, Cameron Loersch and Jesse Wynne.
The Sharks luckless time with injuries has continued, with Cameron Eardley, Sean Henson and Ambrose Ryan all missing from this week’s side, (see full injury list here).
It will certainly be a tough contest for our boys, with the Swans also determined to return to the winner’s circle after two losses.
The Colts will play their match at Fremantle Community Bank Oval as part of a WAFC initiative, read more
