Preview | NAIDOC Round vs Subiaco
The Sharks face Subiaco this Saturday as part of NAIDOC Round in the WAFL.
East Fremantle have come a long way since they played Subiaco in Round 2 earlier this year and are desperate to reward their recent patch of good form.
Notably, the Sharks were missing captain Jonathon Griffin the last time these two teams met, so it is set to be a tough clash in the ruck, given the good form of Griffin and Subiaco’s Lachlan Delahunty.
Our midfield has also had a significant boost since round 2, with experienced players Blaine Boekhorst, Nick Kommer and Cameron Eardley returning to the side.
Into the 25 this week comes Ambrose Ryan, Cameron Davidson, Josef Hebiton and Andrew Trefry. If selected in the final squad, Trefry will make his league debut for the Sharks. Ryan returns to the side after missing last week through illness.
Our reserves side will be determined to get the win over Subiaco this time, after going down by a mere four points in Round 2. Fighting for a spot in the Top 5, it’s a must win game for the young Sharks Reserves team.
The colts will be looking to bounce back from last week’s disappointing loss to Claremont, but it won’t come easy for the young side.
