Reserves Preliminary Final vs West Perth

Friday, September 13, 2019 - 4:59 PM

East Fremantle’s Reserves are one win away from playing in the 2019 WAFL Grand Final. In Sunday’s do-or-die match, the Sharks take on West Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Following two convincing finals wins, the Sharks should take confidence in their playing ability. However, it won’t come easy against a tough West Perth outfit, who head into the match with two wins over the Sharks this year. The Falcons are expected to come out firing after their 77-point loss to Claremont in the semi-final.

There are a few forced changes to the side this week, with Zach Wilkinson and Kennedy Sorrell sustaining injuries in the win against Subiaco. Josh Ritchie, Fraser Daly and Zach McCarrey come into the extended squad, as well as Max Murphy and Josh Cuneo after missing last week’s clash.

East Fremantle showed great composure in their 47-point victory over the reigning premiers and will again call for a team effort in order to tackle the Falcons.

The winner of Sunday’s match will face Claremont in the Grand Final at Optus Stadium next weekend.

Head down to Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Sunday and get behind the Sharks to help them get over the line!
