CLUB UPDATE - DECEMBER
It has been a busy off season for the Sharks, with projects commencing left, right and centre!
As we near the end of the year, we wanted to take the opportunity to update members and supporters on things happening down at Shark Park.
Over the last three months, you may have seen/ met consultant David Koutsoukis. Thanks to the support of our new sponsor Premiair Aviation, we have been able to engage David to work on leadership and culture throughout all levels at The Sharks.
Physical Environments
We have produced a document called the ‘Physical Environments Project’ which has enabled us to identify areas of improvement at the club. Despite having an aging facility, there are projects that we can undertake to ensure it is still a great place to come.
We are pleased to announce that several items have already been completed, including over $22,000 worth of roof repairs in the grandstand. Mick Jez and Kevin Cant installed 50 new seats to the grandstand over the weekend, while Trevor Jennings and Mick replaced a missing panel on our roof. The Town of East Fremantle are currently bituminizing the car park from our office admin building down to the Merv Cowan Stand, which will undoubtedly make a difference for attendees.
If you are interested in volunteering your time towards one of these projects, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with the Club – 93395533.
Sharkitecture for Success
David has assisted the club in producing a new Strategic Plan. The ‘Sharkitecture for Success’ outlines the club’s direction for the next three years. It is an exciting time for the Sharks as we focus on having an Engaging Environment, Building our Community Connections, Developing our Teams (men’s and women’s football + netball), ensure Stakeholder Value and boost our Revenue.
