A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT & CEO
To our valued members, sponsors and supporters,
The West Australian Football League, WAFLW, and WA Talent programs have been postponed until May 31st in an effort to reduce the spread of Coronavirus throughout our community.
The decision has been made together with the AFL and State football bodies around Australia as part of a national approach to protect the well-being of all players, coaches, umpires, officials, staff and volunteers.
It goes without saying, we are in unprecedented times - this could well be one of the most difficult challenges our club has faced in the modern era.
We, like everyone else are concerned about how things will unfold in the football landscape in the coming weeks, and unfortunately like everyone else, we don’t have the answers right now. I can assure you that East Fremantle will provide updates as soon as they become available. All relevant information will be made available on our website and social media.
We do know that the club needs to work to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 virus on our players, coaches, staff, members and supporters. This is our number one priority, which is why we will support the recommendations given to us from the Government, AFL and WAFC.
Our weekly community event, ‘Hey Hey it’s Friday’ has also been suspended until further notice.
There is no doubt that we are just as disappointed as you that the 2020 season is to be affected so dramatically, but we urge our wonderful members and supporters to stay united. Now, more than ever, The East Fremantle Football Club will rely on your support through membership to ensure our sustainability in our 122nd year.
Where possible, we encourage you to support our amazing sponsors.
Our board, staff and players are working hard to navigate this period of uncertainty. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support thus far. We will update you as soon as we can.
On behalf of the EFFC, please take care of yourselves and those around you.
Unite for the Blue & White.
