2020 Fixtures
East Fremantle Football Club will kick off their 2020 Optus WAFL Season on Saturday July 18th against port rivals South Fremantle.
The West Australian Football Commission finalised the new fixtures today, with every team playing each other once across nine rounds and the top four teams on the ladder compete in a three-week Finals Series.
It will be a blockbuster start to the season as we head to Fremantle Community Bank Oval to take on the Bulldogs. With restrictions easing on outdoor gatherings, we encourage the Sharks community to get down to support our boys in the first hit out of the season.
Our first home game will follow on Saturday July 25th against Peel Thunder where we want a sea of Blue and White in the crowd!
We then take on East Perth at Leederville Oval and return the following week to New Choice Homes Park to host Perth. The bye comes nicely in the middle of the season for East Fremantle.
After a week off, The Sharks take on West Perth away, Claremont the following week at home and Subiaco at Leederville Oval.
The home and away season for the Sharks closes against Swan Districts at New Choice Homes Park.
The Grand Final will be played on the first weekend in October, with the winner to be awarded the 2020 Optus WAFL Premiership Cup. Individual awards, including the Sandover Medal, will also be presented.
The Optus WAFLW Season fixture is in the final stages of being completed and will be announced shortly.
Quarters will consist of 16 minutes plus time-on to align with current AFL rules.
