Vale Rod Cronan
The East Fremantle Football Club family farewelled Rod Cronan at Fremantle Cemetery on Friday in a heartfelt ceremony in front of many family, friends and colleagues that Rod had touched in his 60 years.
Rod unfortunately passed away on Monday June 29, after a 4 year battle with cancer.
Rod was an outstanding sportsman, a successful businessman, devoted family man and all-round fantastic person. He first made his mark at the Sharks in 1983, making his League debut at the age of 29, after years of brilliant performances for CBC Fremantle Football Club. Rod, although only playing 2 league games for EFFC, was always a familiar figure around the club, with his family connections and involvement at the club culminating with his youngest son (Louis) playing 10 senior games in 2013.
Rod was also appointed to the East Fremantle Football Club's Board of Directors for the start of the 2007 season, a role he held for 8 years.
Rod is survived by wife Fran and sons Jack, Tom and Louis.
Our deepest sympathies to Fran, the boys and all who have been touched by Rod and wish the best to all at this very tough time.
