16s Development Squad at the National Coaching Conference
16s Development Squad at the National Coaching Conference
The National Coaching Conference of 2016 was conducted at Domain Stadium, over the past weekend, and our 16s Development Academy were fortunate enough to be coached in a session by Brenton Sanderson.
Before the session took place the 16s squad had a great warm up… in 40-degree heat, by kicking some goals at the city end of Domain Stadium. The boys got quite a buzz running around on the ground despite the temperature.
The session with Brenton Sanderson, who is the current AFL Academy Coach, took place on the northern wing in front of 200 plus National Coaching Conference participants. The boys went through a number of drills that were explained to the coaching conference crowd via microphone. The session went for about 45mins and it was a great experience for the boys who thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you to Kane Benson, Daniel Richards and Clayton Anderson for your help on the day. It was greatly appreciated. Also thank you to the parents for bringing the players who participated.
