A resounding 49 point win capped off a big day for East Fremantle, winning at all levels against the Perth Demons on Saturday afternoon at Lathlain Park.

Over the July School holidays, three of East Fremantle’s Academy players Jeremy Sharp, Luke Dobson and Conor McPartland represented The State Schoolboys Championships in Maroochydore QLD.

This is a fantastic achievement by the boys and well deserved. Jeremy, Luke and Conor are outstanding footballers who joined the Academy in last year’s 14s Development squad.

East Fremantle were unable to continue the winning run for the away team between derby rivals, as second place South Fremantle overran the Sharks to come away with a 30-point win at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday.

The Sharks had a strong start in the opening quarter, kicking the first two majors, but South were quick to respond, leading by a point at the first break.  

Coach Rob Wiley said the boys were unlucky with the breeze.
