Ray FRENCH
Ray came to East Fremantle from the Fremantle Ex-Scholars Club and played his first game in 1949 joining brother Vic in the blue and white jumper.
His career was unfortunately interrupted in 1951 when he was involved in an accident, but he returned in 1952 to become a regular player and established a reputation as one of the best Ruck Rovers this state has seen. Every game he played was an inspiration to his side because of his determination and enthusiasm. He was a tireless worker in his endeavours to keep the play flowing and when necessary to keep East Fremantle in the game. Ray also served as a player’s representative on the Committee.
