Ray SORRELL

Ray came to the Club from North Fremantle and it was obvious to all who watched his first League game that here was a champion in the making.

He was a speedy left-footer, a sure mark and with the stamina to run all day. His skillful evasiveness meant he was rarely caught in possession and his exceptionally long and accurate drop-kicks made his play a joy to watch. Ray represented W.A on 18 occasions earning himself two All Australian blazers, a Simpson Medal and the State Captaincy. A brilliant career.
