Roy “Skeeter” MCGLINN
Roy ‘Skeeter’ McGlinn came from York and was a dashing rover with clever ball handling skills and an excellent stab pass which gave his forwards many opportunities.
It was not unusual for him to be among the goal scorers as he was quick to take opportunities to get the ball through the posts. He had pace and stamina and after passing the ball to a team mate would run on to create an opening further up field or block the opposition. He was fast off the mark and a sure high mark for one of his size. His work as a fireman kept him at the peak of fitness.
