Round 8 | Match Preview
The Sharks will travel north to Steel Blue Oval this Saturday as they prepare to take on the Swan Districts in Round 8 of the Optus WAFL Premiership Season.
In arguably the match of the round, the winner of Saturdays match will likely finish the round in the top 5.
Following last week’s loss against Claremont, the Sharks will be looking to return to the winners list and head into the WA Day Derby with a 4-3 win-loss record.
The Sharks welcome back Jakob Ah Chee into the team for tomorrows match, while Josh Schoenfeld (Knee) will not feature in tomorrow’s league match. Schoenfeld will see a surgeon early next week to assess the damage to his knee and is expected to have an extended stint on the sidelines.
The Swans have been in impressive form this season and will be looking to avenge their 8-point loss to Subiaco last week.
The Reserves are one win off fourth spot and are coming off a big loss to Claremont. The side plays on Sunday and will be looking to and return to the winners list against the second place Swans.
The Reserves welcome back Max Murphy, Lachlan McManus while Ethan Drake-Brockman will make his Reserves debut. Corey Holmes, whose good form hand him close to League selection, is out with a hamstring injury.
The Colts return to action against the second placed Swans on Sunday, having lost in the dying seconds against Claremont last week. The match will begin at 10am.

East Fremantle 6.8 (44) were defeated by Swan Districts 11.9 (75) @ New Choice Homes Park
The Sharks had more inside 50’s but the Swans efficiency, in addition to a six-goal second term, meant they finished five goal winners. Cameron Eardley and Blaine Boekhorst combined for 52 disposals and eight tackles.
