EFFC Community Visit to Northampton and GNFL
Last weekend representatives from East Fremantle Football Club, led by our President Mark Stewart and Director Con Tripi enjoyed a visit to our valued GNFL Clubs.
EFFC received excellent reception from the GNFL clubs and GNFL President Colin Cox. There is something to be said about Country hospitality, it was outstanding.
Friday our first visit was to the Rovers Football Club where we caught up with Craig Walker assistant coach, their club President and committee. We moved on to the Railways Football Club, were we caught up with past player and now Coach of Railways Karl Pirratina, Railways President and WAFL past players Brad Tunbridge & Barry Kimberly.
Saturday morning, we were welcomed by the Northampton President, Andrew Lockyer and Harry Taylor. We watched the Northampton Rams v Towns Football Colts, Reserves, and the League games.
We were also there to support the Northampton Rams and local community in their recovery after Cyclone Siroja. Congratulations to organisers Andrew Lockyer, Harry Taylor and the team who put the day together for the community.
What great community spirit!
Josh Kennedy and Harry Taylor had their work cut out by signing plenty of autographs most of the day. Harry Taylor was on a $1000 goal which raised $10,000 as he bagged ten.
East Fremantle FC were glad to support the fundraising efforts with auction items, donation of football nets for behind the goals, accompanied by items from Robert Lester Smith, the Kerr family including an item from EFFC number one ticket holder Sam Kerr.
Thank you to Steve Reinholdtsen of Schneider Electrics who also donated items.
Sunday finished our weekend where we met with the Brigades Football Club & the Mullewa Football Club.
A great weekend spent in Geraldton and surrounds.
Thank you to the following EFFC past players, officials and supporters who joined us:
President Mark Stewart, Bob Uittenbroek, Steve Waller, Rod Lester-Smith, Brian Cousins, Shaun Livingston, Roger Kerr.
