Welcome Back, Harry Marsh
East Fremantle would like to announce the signing of Harry Marsh for the 2023 season.
Originally from Margaret River, Harry has re-joined the Sharks after spending the last 4 seasons with Subiaco, where he played 50 games and won 2 Premierships. Marsh was drafted to the Sydney Swans from East Fremantle in the 2012 AFL draft and spent 6 seasons there, playing 25 games.
Harry, older brother to Jonathon Marsh, said the lure to play football with his brother was a decisive factor in making the decision.
“The main reason for making the move is to play with my brother. Over the years we’ve talked about playing together so when this chance came up, I was glad to take it”.
Football Manager, Brad Dodd, said that the addition of Marsh will add to the Sharks midfield options.
“Harry will provide us with another big body to go through the midfield as well as provide alternative options for Bill and the coaching staff either forward or back. With a young and developing group with not a lot of finals exposure, Harrys’ previous experience in big games will be an added bonus”.
Harry has been a regular spectator at East Fremantle games through the finals and has been impressed by the ascension of the group over the past few seasons.
“I’ve followed Jono and the Sharks closely and the team is playing an exciting and fast brand of football. I think I’ll add to an already talented group and I’m excited to get to work and get to know the boys after playing against them for a few years”.
Harry will begin pre-season with his new team-mates in late November. He’s the 5th new addition to the squad having already locked away Fraser Turner, Hugh Dixon, Josh Cripps and Tom Joyce.
