WAFLW LEAGUE:
Returning to action after the bye, East Fremantle took on Swan Districts at the WACA this past Saturday. Ridma Ratnakele made her League debut while Katelyn Catalano returned to the side and Mylee Leitch played her first game since Rd 6 overcoming a wrist injury. The contest was evenly poised with both sides trading goals, the Sharks getting on the board courtesy of a Grace Freeman set shot. Swans finished the quarter off strongly kicking two quick goals to take a 13 point lead into the first change. The Sharks lifted around the ball in the second term led by Caylen Crook. Mylee Leitch and Chloe Reilly combined inside 50 leading to Leitch snapping truly for the Sharks second. It was an arm wrestle early in the third quarter before Swans got an important first goal of the term giving them a 20 point buffer. In the dying stages of the quarter, Reilly dribbled one home from the boundary to give the Sharks life. As they did all game, Swans answered the challenge extending the lead to 26 points. The home side refused to waver as Freeman and Reilly kicked their second for the game respectively as Swans recorded a 14 point victory.
