Count Me In Round

Thursday, August 6, 2015 - 1:27 PM
The East Fremantle Sharks will host West Perth this Saturday the 8th August at ATOM Stadium in the WAFL’s Count Me In Round. The WAFL has worked with the Disability Service Commission (DSC) to recognise the importance of having a fair go in football. Four WAFL games will take place on Saturday all of which will highlight the importance of access and inclusion so that everyone can enjoy a day out at the football.

ATOM Stadium is ready for Count Me In Round thanks to Mick Jez and the Sharks' Past Players and Officials Association. New wheelchair bays have been built in the Members grandstand and the access to the oval improved for wheel chairs so all spectators can enjoy the full WAFL experience at ATOM Stadium.

The President’s lunch on Saturday will include guest speakers Russell Aubrey and Robert Barr, Russell is the Mayor of Melville and board member of the DSC.

To add to the festivities a football clinic will be run at half time of the League game for kids of all abilities looking to learn some new skills with help from some injured Sharks players.

Free entry will be provided to people with a disability and to their friends and family when a Companion Card is presented, so come along and enjoy a day out at the football.
