Michael Brennan joins the Sharks’ circle

The Sharks welcome Michael Brennan to the Club as director of football. Michael will report into the Board and will work closely with Football Manager Darryn Fry and the rest of the Club to manage our football strategy. Michael brings with him a wealth of football knowledge and experience and an unwavering commitment to see the Sharks thrive.

Michael made his debut for East Fremantle in 1985, playing a total of 78 games for the Club and was named in East Fremantle's Team of the Century in 1997. He was drafted in 1987 as part of the inaugural West Coast squad and played in their 1992 and 1994 premiership sides, before winning  the Eagles’ Best Clubman award in 1995, his final season.

In 1996 he was named in West Coast's Team of the Decade and in 2006 in the Team 20. In 2014 he was inducted into the West Coast Hall of Fame WC board for 3 years- 2005-2007.

Michael says he has been a passionate East Fremantle supporter since childhood, “that’s really the reason I’m getting involved,” he said, “I want to give a bit back to the Club. I’m keen to help get the Club back in a position of on-field strength in the future years.”

Michael is currently a director at Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisers.
