Board - East Fremantle FC

Mark Stewart  - President, Governance 

Mark has been on the East Fremantle Football Club’s Board of Directors since 2005 and was elected Club President in 2014. He is committed to driving the Sharks’ values and culture and implementing board strategy to all areas of the club.

He is also the WAFL Council of Presidents’ Chairman and Managing Director of Classic Contractors. He sits on the WAFL Variable Funding Model and the COVID-19 WA Football Industry Steering committees, and the Dulux Accredited Advisory Board. Mark was also a recipient of the WA Business News’ 40under40 Award winner (2009).

Since founding Classic Contractors, his company has received multiple awards, including the Dulux Business Professional Awards and numerous Master Painters and Decorators Australia awards, including Large Business of the Year (2019). Projects include The National Hotel Fremantle restoration and the West Coast Eagles training facility.

David Edinger - Director of Business Development 

David was appointed to the Board in 2005 and brings his experience and connections to the Club to further improve our Sponsorship portfolio.

David is the owner of Edinger Real Estate, a boutique family business that he has operated for twenty five years which specialises in the sale and leasing of Residential & Commercial property, the sale of all types and forms of business and acts as a buyer’s agent to his clientele.

Adam Drake- Brockman – Co Vice President and Director of Talent Pathways and Junior Football

Adam was elected to the Board at the 2019 AGM and was appointed the role of Director of Talent Pathways and Junior Football. Adam has been involved in the EFFC district for over 10 years in a variety of coaching roles including being awarded the EFFC District Junior Coach of the Year in 2012. An AFL Level 2 Accredited coach who is still actively involved in our Talent program, Adam was also the president of one of our district junior clubs from 2014-2016.

Adam brings vast experience to the Board with over 20 years of management roles with ASX and internationally listed companies. Adam also has a sound understanding of member based associations, being the President of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) from 2017-2019.

 

Kim Chatfield - Director of Fundraising Projects

Kim Chatfield was elected to the Board at the 2014 AGM and was appointed Director of Fundraising Projects. Kim has a long history with the East Fremantle Football Club, most recently as the Chairman of Selectors. Kim is the Business Development Manager for Pierlite and works in the area of fund raising and special events such as the Auction and Golf Day.

Con Tripi - Director of Mid West and Senior Football

Con was elected to the Board at the 2020 AGM. He has been a President of the Sharks and previously spent thirteen years on the board. Con founded Imperial Homes and remains the Managing Director and Owner of this highly regarded organisation in the niche market of designing and building exclusive, boutique homes.

Imperial homes are a committed, long-term sponsor of the Sharks.

Paul Chapman – Director of Media, Marketing and Communications

Paul was elected to the board at the 2021 AGM. He is co-founder and Managing Director of MyMedia - a media monitoring company that leads the market in Western Australian. His strategic commercial and media relationships within Western Australia, and a proven ability in building a strong local brand in a highly competitive market will assist to grow the club’s profile with media, sponsors, members and the wider football community.

Lynsey Warbey - Director of Legal and Governance

Lynsey brings an impressive wealth of legal expertise and experience to the EFFC, having served in the Western Australian public sector for over 20 years. She has held senior legal roles including at the State Solicitor's Office and the office of the WA Police Commissioner as Commissioner’s Counsel. As Principal Solicitor (Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office), she represented the State of Victoria in the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.

Michelle Magdy - Director of Community and Grants

Michelle is the Head of Operations for Tennis West however more recently as the Head of Tennis – South, Michelle led successful initiatives to improve club engagement, establish improved club processes and governance and drive local government advocacy. Prior to her Tennis West roles, she served as a WA Sales Manager for oOh!media and SBS where she achieved strong annual revenues and built mutually beneficial partnerships with key clients. Michelle, who joined the board in 2023, will be leading the club’s community engagement and looking at how grants can continue to fund our range of regional and community programs.
