Round 18 Preview | East Perth
East Fremantle return to New Choice Homes Park this Saturday to host East Perth in their last home game for 2019.
The last time these two sides met, the Sharks registered one of their best wins in recent years, prevailing by 62-points. It will be no easy feat however, with the Royals finding form and registering two wins from their last four games.
The Sharks will look for strong showings from its engine room with Jon Griffin, Nick Kommer, Cam Eardley, Jarrad Jansen, Blaine Boekhorst and Tom Bennett all in good form. Kyle Baskerville has been excellent in a recent shift to the backline, while up forward, Luke Strnadica, Nic Bonomelli and Jack Perham provide a threat in the air.
Disappointed after a second half fade against the Falcons last week, East Fremantle will be determined for a four-quarter effort against the Royals.
The coaching staff have made 2 changes ahead of this week’s clash, with Nic Bonomelli, and Jack Perham coming in while Ryan Lester-Smith and Max Murphy return to the Reserves.
Our Reserves are likely to come out firing to ensure they hold their spot in the top 5 and secure a finals birth, with Perth sitting only a game behind on the ladder. In a see saw battle last week, West Perth ran away with a crucial win, kicking 4 goals to nil in the last quarter to record a 25-point win.
Although our Colts won’t play finals footy this year, they will look to continue their winning form against the Royals tomorrow. The Colts have won their last 3 games against teams inside the top 5. East Perth currently sit 2nd on the Colts ladder and will provide another great test.
Stick around after the game for our We Are One Celebration – an opportunity for our Sharks community to meet and mingle with the players, enjoy some live music and $6 PINTS.
