122ND EFFC AGM

Friday, December 13, 2019 - 2:53 PM

The East Fremantle Football Club held its 122nd AGM in the Main Social Hall on Wednesday evening.

The Club would like to congratulate and welcome new board members Flora Furness and Adam Drake-Brockman. Steve Nugent and John Ipsen were re-elected for another two years.

It was also announced that East Fremantle stalwart, Bob Uittenbroek, has stepped down from the Board. Bob started as the General Manager of the Sharks in 1974, spending thirty-one years in the role. He returned to the club as a Director in 2008 and spent the last eleven years on the Board. This is in no way the end of Bob’s involvement with East Fremantle. The man who bleeds Blue and White will still be involved in sub committees and working his magic with membership sales.

12 months into his role, Senior Coach Bill Monaghan updated the members on pre-season so far and the goals for 2020.

President Mark Stewart was pleased to announce several projects undertaken by The Club and The Town of East Fremantle on our physical environment. This coincides with The Town of East Fremantle’s preparation for a Business Plan for the redevelopment of the East Fremantle precinct. Tender process for a consultant to produce the Business Plan will be released within the next month.

The Club recorded a small profit after depreciation of $10,621 for the 2019 financial year.

A highlight of the night was the induction of 4 new Life Members:

  • Clayton Anderson – Premiership Player + 200 game player over 3 grades
  • Mark Amaranti – Premiership Player + 200 game player over 3 grades
  • Kevin Cant – Long term volunteer involved in the Past Players & Officials Association
  • Bill Cromwell - Long term volunteer involved in the Past Players & Officials Association
