Recruit Brodie Riach gives us an update on his first pre-season with the Sharks.

1) How have you settled into Shark Park?

I’ve settled in really well, it’s a welcoming club with great staff and players. I’ve felt right at home straight away.

2) Where do you see your role this year?

My role this season will see me playing predominantly on the wing, with some time spent at half forward as well.

3) You spent some time on the West Coast Eagles list, what did you learn from experiencing the AFL environment?

I learnt how to prepare at a high level, I learnt how to recover and get to know my body a bit better and how to just be a professional overall.

4) Which Sharks have impressed you this preseason?

I’ve been super impressed with Morgan Davies, his run and energy off half back is exciting and very damaging. I’ve also been impressed with Brynn Teakle, he moves very well for a big fella and I think he has a bright path ahead of him.

5) What do you do with yourself outside of football (Work etc)?

I’m studying to be a teacher at Curtin Uni. I also work in primary schools delivering sport-based programs, which goes hand in hand with my degree.

6) What do Sharks fans have to look forward to in 2020?

Sharks fans can look forward to an exciting brand of football that I’m sure will translate to putting some points on the board.
