East Fremantle Oval
Preview | Round 3
The Sharks travel to Leederville Oval this Saturday in search of their second win of the season against East Perth.
Buoyed by last week’s maiden win, East Fremantle should take confidence from their fourth quarter performance that saw them kick six goals while holding Peel to just one major. It was a good showing from the side after the disappointment of the Round 1 Derby and the late withdrawal of three experienced players.
Cameron Eardley, Nick Kommer and Brodie Riach have been added into the side after a mix of injury and illness saw them miss last week’s clash. Corey Robinson is also in the mix for his first league game of the season after strong showings in the Reserves.
It was a close encounter the last time these two sides met, with East Perth securing the lead in the first half, but a dominant third quarter from the Sharks set them up for an 8-point victory.
After having the bye in Round 1, The Royals took it up to Perth last weekend and will be looking to go one step further against East Fremantle at home.
Having only played one official game in 2020, our Reserves will look to secure their first victory of the season against East Perth.
Our Colts are also in search of their first win on Saturday, after a three-quarter lapse cost them an opportunity against Peel last week. This game will be streamed live on The West here, make sure you have your subscription sorted - https://subscriber.thewest.com.au/wafloffer
