The East Fremantle Football Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bob Uittenbroek as the #1 Ticket Holder for the 2024 season. This prestigious position recognises Bob’s unwavering commitment and significant contributions to the club over several decades.

Bob Uittenbroek’s association with the EFFC spans an impressive timeline, reflecting his deep-rooted passion for the game and the club.

In December 1973, Bob joined the East Fremantle Football Club as Secretary. His dedication and leadership qualities quickly propelled him up the ranks, and by 1978, he assumed the role of General Manager. For an astounding 32 years, Bob steered the club through triumphs and challenges, leaving an indelible mark on its legacy.

After retiring from the General Manager position in 2005, Bob’s love for the club remained strong. He returned as a Director in 2008, dedicating the next eleven years to shaping the club’s future. His tireless efforts have been instrumental in maintaining the Sharks’ rich heritage and fostering a sense of community among players, supporters, and staff. Since retiring from his position, Bob has dedicated himself selflessly to the club, volunteering much of his time to helping the club in all aspects.

CEO Addy Wetzler was honoured to nominate Bob as the #1 Ticket Holder, “Bob’s legacy is woven into the fabric of our club. His passion, resilience, and love for the game have left an indelible impression. As #1 Ticket Holder, Bob will continue to guide us toward greatness. We’re fortunate to have him as part of our East Fremantle family.”

Club President Mark Stewart cannot think of a more appropriate person to fill the position, “After honouring him as our 2022 Game Ball Legend, this feels like a natural progression to thank Bob for his unwavering dedication to the blue and white. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our 1974 premiership later this year, it is only fitting that we also recognise the 50th anniversary of Bob’s first season with the club”.
