The Sharks are delighted to announce that former Docker Jesse Crichton has signed with the Club for the next 3 years. Jesse joins the Sharks from Werribee Football Club in Victoria, where he has played for the last two years.

Jesse was drafted to Fremantle with selection 48 in the 2009 AFL Draft from Branxholm Football Club and North Launceston Football Club in northern Tasmania.  He represented Tasmania at the 2008 and 2009 AFL National Under 18 Championships. Upon moving to Western Australia he was allocated to the Peel Thunder Football Club.

He made his AFL debut in Fremantle's loss to the Western Bulldogs in Round 17 of the 2010 AFL season, scoring 1 goal. He played a total of 18 games for the Dockers between 2010 and 2013, before being delisted at the end of the 2013 season.

Over the past two years at Werribee, Jesse has played primarily in the midfield however due to injuries to other players this year, Jesse showed the versatility that will make him an asset to the Sharks, playing in a variety of roles playing wing, half forward and half back.

In 2015 Jesse’s leadership qualities were recognised with him being name Vice-Captain and due to an injury to the Captain in the back half of the year Jesse found himself leading the team on a number on occasions. His leadership experience will further enhance his contribution and value to the Sharks.

Jesse and his partner Nicola-Kate will look to move to Perth in Mid November where Jesse will join the main training squad on November 23rd.

The Club would like to acknowledge and thank Master Plumbers Association, through retired Shark Brett Peake, and Nu-Vision for assisting Jesse to continue his plumbing apprenticeship here in Perth.

We look forward to welcoming Jesse to the Club.
