Brian “Bomber" PEAKE (Legend)
At Club and State level Brian knew no other way than forward and regardless of the opposition’s determination to get him out of the play he was always at the forefront and led his team putting his body on the line time and again. His example encouraged others especially when the going got tough.
Brian’s stamina and strength allowed him to cover a lot of ground in a match and for much of his East Fremantle career he played as Centre or Ruck Rover roaming far and wide. A strong mark and straight kick and always competitive, he was a champion wherever he played. No Sharks supporter could forget Brian’s 300th game. In the 1989 1st Semi Final against West Perth, Brian kicked a last minute goal which tied the game causing a replay. One of our very best.
