George PRINCE
George ‘Rosa’ Prince is regarded as one of the Club’s most versatile players. He played in just about every position on the ground and excelled in all roles.
He dominated play from Centre Half Forward, headed the goal kicking from Full Forward and was a top Fullback in the later years of his career. It is as a fast moving, high leaping, Ruck Rover that he is probably best remembered. Although only around the 180 cm mark George took on, and more often than not beat, Ruckmen much taller than himself. He had pace, fine aerial ability and was a brilliant exponent of both the torpedo and punt kick. In addition George was a superb team man with a strong competitive streak and great courage. His dedication to East Fremantle Football Club will be long remembered.
